omm365.new.radio.station > if you hear a voice in your head saying that you’re bad, lazy, worthless, a problem … it’s possible to get that voice to stop. when we’re sober, we can learn reframing skills. we can learn to hear new things, and to change the channel when the old radio station starts blaring its static … == happy sober tuesday. i’ve been working on some reframing myself the past few days, about how i LOVE doing financial paperwork, and having all the numbers line up and having the little bits of paper magically disappear from my desk. i literally do my paperwork once every 6-9 months. and this weekend (and yesterday and today) might bring me to the end of this round. i know that maintenance and accountability will make it easier to keep things up to date ongoing. and i know that having a treat for doing the yucky things is worthwhile. (all things we learn by being sober). i also know that this message here now is super long, and you haven’t even listened to the actual audio yet! hugs, belle xo

omm364.darkness > there is a hopelessness that can descend on us, like we’re trapped in a dark room and the windows have thick curtains and the doors are nailed shut. now, what if i told you that drinking MAKES this darkness happen? and when you remove the booze? you can begin to look around … > happy sober saturday to you. i hope this little bit of darkness reminds you of the light that comes when you open the door (get off the booze elevator, come out of the closet, whichever metaphor works best!).
